ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

All Hallows High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available at the school and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship, athletic and other administered programs.
The registration of a student at All Hallows is considered a recognition and an acceptance on his part and the part of his parents or guardians of compliance with all the rules and regulations of All Hallows.

In order for a student to graduate from All Hallows High School he must earn 8credits in each year. A total of 32 credits are needed in order to earn a diploma from All Hallows High School. In addition, each student must pass the following five (5) New York State Regents Exams:

  • Global History,
  • U.S. History,
  • English,
  • Algebra or Geometry or Algebra-Trigonometry,
  • Science (Living Environment, Physical Setting in Physics or Chemistry)

Advanced Regents diplomas are awarded to students who meet all of the following criteria:


A four (4) unit sequence in EACH OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • English
  • Math
  • Science
  • History
  • plus a two (2)-unit sequence in a Foreign Language or
    One five (5) unit sequence in either English or Social Studies
    and one three (3) unit sequence in one of the following areas:
    Mathematics, Science, Second Language and
    PASSING GRADES IN ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
    English 11 Regents, Algebra and Geometry or Algebra -Trigonometry Regents Living Environment and Physical settings (Physics or Chemistry) Global History and US History Regents (both)
    Spanish Regents or Latin Regents (one)

In order for a student to go on to the next year he must pass all of his courses for the current year. Any mark below sixty-five percent (65) is considered a failure. If a student receives a failing final mark in a course he must make up this course during the All Hallows summer school or in a summer school approved by the Principal of All Hallows. If a student passes the Regents Exam but fails the course for the year, he must remediate the class in a summer school program. Any student with three or more failures on their final average is not readmitted to All Hallows unless it is decided that he may repeat the year. A student may be required to leave All Hallows at any point during the school year should extraordinary academic deficiencies exist. Students involved in extracurricular activities are required to maintain passing grades in all subjects.
